I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Anyone can write a grant. Anyone. Anyone can even submit a grant. But not everyone can write a winning grant that results in an award.

I have been writing, winning, and managing grants since 2007. In addition to my extensive experience in the non-profit and government sectors, I am a certified grant writer through the Grants Professional Association (GPA) and the American Grants Writer Association (AGWA). I am also working on my certification through the National Grants Management Association (NGMA). To obtain these certifications, I had to provide proof of my experience and pass exams to prove my knowledge and expertise in grant writing.

In order to maintain my certifications, I have to participate in training to stay on top of the latest and best practices in the grant-making world.
